Austin Maker Faire 2007

Woohoo!  Make Magazine is bringing the Maker Faire to Austin on October 21 & 22nd.  Make Magazine is a quarterly project magazine which has highlighted projects like a VCR Cate Feeder, a Carbon Fiber iPod Case to complex Robots.  The Silicon Valley version  of the Maker's Faire attracted over 20,000 people and looked like a science fair gone wild. 

This two-day, family-friendly event that celebrates arts, crafts, engineering, science projects and the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset. It's for creative, resourceful folks who like to tinker and love to make things.   Get your tickets early at

Free Night of Theatre 2007

The Theatre Communications Group's Free Night of Theater 2007 gives away free tickets to plays in many cities including Austin. Currently, the earliest show begins October 12, while the last play date is December 2; check this page to see ticket availability. More tickets and times may be added later.
