Austin Downtown Photo Shoot--Got any Ideas?

The staff of AroundAustin.com is going to go downtown Friday evening to do a photoshoot.   We're going to photograph the Austin Energy Building, the Pedestrian bridge and then just wander downtown looking for cool spots to shoot.

Any ideas for a great spot for a picture?  Add it as a comment.  Get specific.  If we get a decent shot we'll send a print to the person that suggested it.

Austin Skyline at Twilight

Saturday Night was crisp and clear.  Finally got a decent shot of downtown.  Now I'm looking for other alternative views that'll show both the Capitol and UT Tower.  Any thoughts?

Austin Photography for your websites & presentation

One of the frequent requests I get is for the use of some of the photographs in the albums for websites and presentations.  The Austin skyline and Pennybacker (360) bridge pictures are particularly popular.  As an experiment I'm putting some of the pictures up at Shutterpoint.  Check there if you want to use a particular photograph on your website or for a presentation.

Capitol Panorama

Someone asked how to make a 360 VR Panorama.  Generally what you do is take a fisheye lens and take a number of shots (8 in my case) and then use software tools to stitch them together.  It is a whole lot easier if its done on a tripod that's been leveled...want more info?  Go to www.panoguide.com.  By the way, www.panoramas.dk has some very cool panoramas.
